A levy, otherwise known as an attachment, gives you the creditor the right to take sale the debtor’s real and personal property and apply the proceeds toward the balance of a judgment. The amount awarded to the creditor as well as the amount disputed by the debtor as exempt from the levy is governed by the state of Florida. Often certain types property are exempt from being levied.
